Bsc Midwifery

This Midwifery degree covers all aspects of normal midwifery, complicated childbearing, and postnatal care. As a Nightingale student you will also study wider issues such as health promotion, public health, law and ethics, and professional issues. Midwifery is a skills-based profession and development of your practical skills is an important part of this midwifery course.

To improve your employability, you’ll develop knowledge and abilities to provide holistic care and gain some of these skills in our Clinical Simulation Centre on campus.

Aggregate 24 or better in S.S.C.E/ W.A.S.S.C.E with at least D/credit in three (3) Core subjects (English, Math’s and Integrated Science) plus credits in three (3) elective subjects ( Agric, General Arts, Home Economics and Science).

Nightingale School of Nursing is affiliated to the University of Ghana, Legon - Accra. The professional accreditation gives you further assurance that the degree you will earn has met recognized national standards.

The School has adopted a policy to let students use the first year to acquaint themselves with some nursing procedures and materials in the School’s well-equipped demonstration room and start their clinical practicals from the 2nd year at the following Hospitals:
